Armored car guard robbed in north Houston

HOUSTON According to the FBI, the guard was making a delivery at an Ace Check cashing business at 1734 West Mount Houston when the suspect confronted him. The suspect reportedly put a gun to the guard and demanded money. The guard complied and the suspect fled on foot.

The suspect is described as an African-American male who appears to be 26 or 27 years old. He's around 6 feet tall with a thin build and dark complexion. He's said to have a mustache and goatee.

Investigators say the suspect was wearing a red baseball cap with a white do rag under it. He had on a black T-shirt and blue jean shorts. He was armed with a black semi-automatic.

At this point, it's not clear how much money the suspect got away with. If you have any information on this robbery, you're asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS. A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest.
