One injured in high-speed crash

HOUSTON

Police say the driver of a car was speeding along Clay Road and Greenhouse when he left the roadway and hit a ditch. He lost control and the car slammed into a telephone pole before landing on its side.

The driver had to be rescued from the car. He was rushed to the hospital by LifeFlight in serious condition.
