Today the Houston city council could vote on major changes to the Safe Clear program that could cost you money. The changes would end free tows off the freeway for stranded motorists. Safe Clear tows would cost $50 and you'll have to pay over $30 for roadside service like tire changes.

Mayor Parker says the city can no longer afford to provide the service for free. If the council approves the changes, they would take effect in June.
