Six transported from collision in Harris County

HOUSTON The collision happened around 9pm Friday. Harris County Sheriff's Office deputies said a car trying to turn left onto Beaumont Highway from Lamkin pulled in front of a sports utility vehicle.

The SUV slammed into the driver's side door of the car, officials said.

The driver of the car was transported to the hospital by LifeFlight in serious condition.

There were two small children in the SUV, but the driver of the car was the only person seriously injured.
