Officers said someone pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim an unknown number of times.
The victim was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital by LifeFlight in serious condition.
Investigators set up a perimeter around the scene and brought K-9s to search the area for suspects. They had one man in custody and were testing his hands for blood, but it was unclear Saturday if an arrest had been made.
