Mexican actress to be sentenced in marriage case

LOS ANGELES, CA Prosecutors are not seeking any prison time for Fernando Romero, an actress who has had bit parts in U.S. films but is perhaps best known for her role in the Mexican soap opera "Eternamente Tuya."

U.S. District Judge Manuel Real is also scheduled to sentence Romero's husband, Kent Ross, who has admitted he lied about living with the actress.

Federal prosecutors charged Romero and Ross in April 2010 with entering into a sham marriage so she could remain in the United States, but a jury deadlocked on the case last year. The pair eventually entered a plea agreement that calls for probation but no jail time.
