Girl stabbed by student in empty classroom

HOUSTON School district spokesperson Susan Castro said two students, a boy and a girl, were alone in a classroom when they got into an argument. The boy allegedly then stabbed the girl with a knife.

A teacher or staff member heard the commotion and took the students to the front office, where the girl was treated by the nurse. The girl's parents were called, but no ambulance was summoned.

It's not known what type of knife the boy had. The nature and extent of the girl's injuries are not known.

The boy is said to be facing a number of disciplinary actions.
