Funeral to be held today for deputy shot, killed

HOUSTON The funeral will take place at the Greater Jerusalem Community Church in east Houston. Deputy Constable Ronnie Brewer was off duty last week when he was allegedly shot and killed by Lee Eldridge Sonier.

Sonier claims Brewer did not pay him for a sex act with his accomplice, Judy Wallace Hambrick.

Both Sonier and Hambrick are charged with capital murder. Sonier turned himself into authorities on Friday.
