Her car hit the inside wall and cut across several lanes of the freeway before it flipped on its side.
According to investigators, the driver was ejected and was found lying in the roadway.
Officials said she was to taken to Northwest Memorial Hermann Hospital in critical condition, but then she was transported to Hermann Hospital downtown via Life Flight.

The Houston Police Department has no witnesses, so they are still trying to piece together what happened. Officials said speed was a factor and they do not believe alcohol was involved.
