The man, who was believed to be armed, barricaded himself inside the apartment and SWAT officers were brought in. No shots were fired.
The man, who is considered a person of interest in a homicide, did surrender without further incident.
Police standoff ends in SW Houston
HOUSTON
The situation began when homicide detectives with the Houston Police Department went to an apartment complex in the 10600 block of Beechnut Thursday morning. They planned to serve a misdemeanor warrant on a man, and then question him about an unrelated homicide.
