San Antonio man pleads guilty over hotel ID theft

SAN ANTONIO, TX Cody Quincy Jones on Tuesday pleaded guilty to ID theft fraud, access device fraud and aggravated ID theft over receipts swiped from a storage room of the Emily Morgan Hotel in San Antonio. A federal judge ordered Jones to be sentenced July 15.

The San Antonio Express-News reported Wednesday that the receipts enabled conspirators to make bogus credit cards and buy about $300,000 worth of items in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana.

Prosecutors say the alleged ringleader, Ruben "Hollywood" Costello, in November pleaded guilty to ID theft fraud conspiracy, access device fraud and conspiracy to launder money. Costello awaits sentencing.
