State fire inspectors looking at Kemah properties

KEMAH, TX

We've learned state fire inspectors have arrived in Kemah and some of the properties being looked at belong to the mayor Matt Wiggins.

In February, a 13 Undercover investigation exposed properties operating without proper safety certificates and some were occupied even though by law they weren't supposed to be.

The city has since inspected dozens of buildings, including the Boardwalk.

Kemah City Hall did not provide a comment on Tuesday.
