Bank repossesses home of Rockets' Martin
ROCKLIN, CA
The Sacramento Bee reports that the former Kings player has been
in default on his $1.5 million loan for the Rocklin home since
June.
According to property records, Aurora Loan Services took
possession of the house last week.
Martin paid about $1.9 million for the property in 2007. He has
since been traded to the Houston Rockets, where he'll earn $11
million this year.
Attorney Michael Hackard told the Bee that his client's
well-publicized earnings may have been a factor in the bank
refusing to approve a $941,000 short sale on the property.
An Aurora representative did not respond to request for comment
from the Bee.
