Teens find body in the woods in west Harris County

KATY, TX According to authorities, some teens were in the woods Sunday afternoon near Williams Chase and Powell House when they discovered the body of a teenaged girl. She has been identified as 17-year-old Bridgett Frisbie of Katy.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office is investigating. Deputies said there are no apparent signs of trauma. Her body had reportedly been at the site less than a week.

An autopsy was performed at the Harris County Institute of Forensic Science. The cause of death has not yet been determined.
