Get ready to rodeo, Houston! The 2011 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo begins next week at Reliant Park. That means trail riders are making their way closer to Houston for the annual downtown rodeo parade this weekend. Starting Monday, our newscasts will be along for the ride with the cowboys and cowgirls making the trek to Memorial Park. That's where every year all 13 trail rides converge, before the Saturday parade.

On Eyewitness News at 4pm, we'll be live in Sealy tagging along with the Salt Grass Trail Ride's 1,300 riders and 28 wagons traveling 90 miles from Cat Spring to Houston.

You can see all the trail riders and marching bands this Saturday morning as ABC13 broadcasts the downtown rodeo parade. Pre-parade coverage begins at 9:30am and the parade kicks off at 10am.
