Gov. Matt Mead is back in Wyoming after traveling to Houston to promote the state's energy industry. Mead spoke Thursday at the Petroleum Club about the relationship between the University of Wyoming and the energy industry.

The Casper Star-Tribune reports that former Gov. Dave Freudenthal and a delegation of state lawmakers accompanied him on the trip.

During his time in office, Freudenthal served as the state's unofficial energy ambassador, traveling to China and Australia and testifying several times before Congress.
