Man targeted in deadly music store shooting

HOUSTON Around 6:45pm, two men walked into the Urban Soundz music store on North Houston-Rosslyn at West Gulf Bank. Investigators believe the men went straight up to the owner's brother, Justin Aaron Conrad, 27, and shot him multiple times. Conrad was pronounced dead at the scene.

A second male also suffered gunshot wounds and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition.

Police say both suspects immediately fled the scene in a silver Dodge Charger with a blue pinstripe and Texas license plates SVV-406.

Eric Cooper, 26, has been charged with murder. Police are seeking the public's help in locating Cooper and the second suspect. The second suspect is described only as a black male in his 20s, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, 160 to 170 pounds with a dark complexion. Both suspects remain at large.

Police say narcotics were recovered at the scene and at this time it is believed the shooting was drug related.
