METRO train collides with postal truck downtown

HOUSTON The agency says the incident happened about 7:30pm at Main and Pease. METRO says the postal truck was traveling westbound on Pease and the train northbound on Main when the accident occurred, but it is still unclear what caused the accident.

The postal driver had non-life threatening injuries and was transported to St. Joseph Hospital. There were ten passengers on the train at the time, but none of them complained of injuries.

METRO says it has implemented a bus bridge between the Downtown Transit Center and the University of Houston.
