Christmas came early for hundreds of local children Saturday. The Houston Police Department organized a holiday outreach party at Plazamericas in southwest Houston Saturday. Five-hundred kids enjoyed a hot lunch and picked a present from tables full of toys and stuffed animals. Santa was on hand to take pictures. The children were identified by churches, schools and social workers as being in need this holiday season.
