Dozens of local children have new wheels thanks to the Houston Texans. Players and coaches donated money to purchase bikes for children from the Houston Texans YMCA, the Boys and Girls Club, the Houston Independent School District and an apartment shelter. The bikes were presented to the children Friday morning at the Methodist Training Center.

Texans head coach Gary Kubiak said the team started the giveaway about five years ago and it continues to grow.

"It's really about giving back. These players were very young once and the kids look up to them, so it's thoughtful on their part," said Kubiak.

Some of the Texans players even took the bikes for a spin around the parking lot.
