All clear given after bomb threat evacuation at SHSU library

HUNTSVILLE, TX The evacuation lasted a little more than an hour while police investigated the building at the campus in Huntsville.

A warning was posted to www.shsu.edu at 1:20pm reading, "A note was found at the Newton Gresham Library indicating a bomb was planted on the third floor of the building. The building has been evacuated and the police are examining the area for any potential devices."

At 2:15pm, the all clear was issued by police and the school says it was in the process of reopening the library building.

SHSU says the library was the only building affected and activities elsewhere around campus were still taking place during the evacuation.
