Detectives search for young man's killers

HOUSTON

On October 1, Dominick Jermaine Kelly was in a car with three friends at an apartment complex in the 5200 block of Market Street when they were approached by two men who demanded their wallets at gunpoint, according to a Crime Stoppers statement. Everyone but Kelly complied with the suspects' demands, so one of the robbers shot him.

The men got back into a black car described as a Jaguar or Mitsubishi and fled the scene. Kelly died at the scene.

"His dream was to make it to the NFL, provide for his family. All that's been shattered because someone decided he shouldn't be here," said his father Edward Kelly.

Detectives still don't have any information to help them identify the suspects, who've been described only as black males.

Anyone with information regarding their identities is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477. You could earn a reward of $5,000.
