Court appearance for man accused of poisoning dogs

HOUSTON Qian Feng is accused of lacing cheese balls with the chemical strychnine, and throwing them into the yard of neighbor Charlotte Liberda. Liberda's two dogs ate those cheese balls and became critically ill. She then set up surveillance cameras, and claims to have captured Feng in the act.

Feng's attorney, Brett Podolsky, says the surveillance footage does not clearly identify Feng. He claims the evidence in the case is slim.

A judge ordered Feng to have no contact with neighbors, or any animals. Prosecutors also said they found poison in the yards of two neighbors. Feng, however, is only charged with one poisoning. He is out on bond.
