Houston Texans take kids shopping

HOUSTON A dozen Texans were on hand to help the 30 children spend their $100 gift cards at Academy. The children were all selected by the YMCA and the Boys and Girls Club. The Academy store on the Southwest Freeway was closed to the public while the children shopped. The Texans grabbed calculators for the outing as they helped the kids stay within budget.

"Some of them are getting a little carried away. The good thing with girls is they know what they want," said linebacker Isaiah Greenhouse. "I'm about to start controlling them with the budget. Some of them are going a little bit overboard."

Most of the kids included a football among their purchases. A few even grabbed gloves and pads as well.
