Investigators say everyone escaped before they could figure out who was responsible. The officer was treated and released from the hospital.
HPD officer shot in leg while working security
HOUSTON
It happened just before 8pm at the Carriage Place Apartments on Wells Fargo at Overland Trail. Harris County deputies say two off-duty officers were working security for the complex in their police uniforms. The officers were in the process of arresting a man when a crowd formed and an unidentified person started shooting.
