Local kids learn how to deal with bullying

HOUSTON The Anti-Defamation League held its annual No Place for Hate Youth Summit today at the George R. Brown Convention Center. The summit teams gathered more than 500 middle school students and teachers from 14 area school districts and private schools.

The kids and teachers learned how to stand up to bullies and how to help bullying victims.

"I've never really had bad bullying problems, but I've seen it happen, So anytime I get to, I try to stop it, because I know it's not right," said Andrea Briseno, an 8th grader at Macario Garcia Middle School.

The children and teachers listened to a national cyber-bullying expert.
