Deputies delayed by pharmacy robbery

HOUSTON It happened Wednesday morning outside a CVS Pharmacy on Aldine Westfield. Deputies say the store manager was returning from the bank when she was approached by the robber, who displayed a gun and demanded the bag of money. It contained nearly $1,000.

The manager gave the gunman the bag and he ran off. Deputies believe the robber had been checking out the business for some time.

Sgt. Walter Stensland with the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office said, "It would appear that he had probably been casing the business and watching the habits of the management, when they go to the bank, that kind of thing."

The robber hasn't been caught. After their search, the deputies finished delivering Thanksgiving meals to some needy families.
