There were no injuries or environmental impact. Pasadena officials said the fire was contained in the plant. The fire was contained in about 15-20 minutes.
Fire breaks out at Lyondell Basell plant in SE Houston

The blaze started around 12:45pm at the plant on Lawndale. A LyondellBassell spokesperson said a small fire broke out in a piece of pipe during a restart process at the Lyondell Basell plant. Apparently diesel had leaked out of a pipe, which caused the smoke to be very dark.
