Fog causes minor delays at Ship Channel

The fog caused minimal disruptions at the Ship Channel.

A dense fog advisory caused some delays early Tuesday morning at the Ship Channel. Ship pilots suspended boardings until the fog cleared. Boardings stopped at 2:35am where 12 ships were waiting to come in and three waiting to go out. In Galveston, Texas City boarding came to a halt around 3:25am. There were at least six ships waiting to come in and two waiting to go out.

The all-clear was given around 5:30am and ship traffic began moving again.
