The Houston Independent School District has made an offer to principals in charge of some of the district's worst schools - turn things around and get a bonus. HISD's board approved the plan which could add as much as a $45,000 bonus to their salary. The bonuses are part of the district's school reform program called Apollo 20.

The schools include Jones, Kashmere, Lee and Sharpstown high schools, as well as Attucks, Dowling, Fondren, Key and Ryan middle schools.
