Investigators did not know what kind of injuries the officer received, nor if he was in uniform or on duty. The woman was not hurt.
HPD officer injured after being attacked at Waffle House
HOUSTON
The officer was eating inside the restaurant on Highway 6 and the Katy Freeway, when a group of men started harassing a female customer. The officer tried to intervene and was jumped. The men who attacked him got away in a vehicle.
