Amber Alert issued for 8-year-old boy
HOUSTON
Shoemaker took Charte to Kate Bell Elementary School in Houston to register him in school but lacked all of the paperwork to do so. Neither the child or suspect has been seen since.
Charte is about 4 feet tall and weighs 110-120 lbs. He was last seen wearing a red t-shirt and brown warm-up pants.
The suspect is the biological mother's boyfriend, Charles Elmer Shoemaker. Shoemaker, 29, is black and has a dark complexion and dark hair. He is 6 feet 1 inches tall and weighs approximately 250 lbs. He was last seen yesterday wearing a multi-colored shirt and blue jeans and driving the child's mother's car, a 1999 dark gray Ford Crown Victoria with Texas License Plate number, BX6L210.
