Two charged after arrow exits deer and ends up in house

RAMAPO, New York

The incident took place on West Carlton Road. Police say the suspects shot the arrow at the deer, killing it, before it exited and entered the house.

Police charged 43-year-old Abraham Fischbein, and 47-year-old Lee Jones with reckless endangerment, criminal possession of a controlled substance. Jones, was also charged with criminal contempt.

Both Fischbein and Jones were charged additionally by the Department of Environmental Conservation officers with the following unclassified misdemeanors.

  • shooting within 500' of a dwelling
  • shooting across a public highway
  • take a deer with implement not specified
  • illegally take protected wildlife
  • hunt deer during closed hours
  • take deer with the aid of motor vehicle
  • hunt without a big a game license
