Four burglary suspects taken into custody

PEARLAND, TX Police received a report of suspects attempting to force their way through the back door of a residence on Thurlow in the Pearland Park Estates subdivision. Officers responded to the scene quickly and detained two suspects in a vehicle parked in the driveway.

Two other suspects managed to escape on foot but were tracked down around 12:15pm, not far from the scene. The Houston Police Department assisted in the search with their helicopter and a Pearland Police K-9 unit was also on the ground.

Alexander Middle School is located approximately a half mile from the scene and was placed on lockdown with officers on scene as a precaution during the search for the suspects.

There were no reports of any injuries.
