Police investigating fatal stabbing near downtown

Police say a man was arguing with two other men in the courtyard of his apartment building, when one of the men pulled out a knife and stabbed him

Houston police are investigating a deadly stabbing near downtown. Police say the victim was seen and heard arguing with several unknown males in the courtyard of his apartment building around 9pm Saturday on West Alabama and Day. At some point during the argument, he was stabbed. The suspects then fled on foot. The victim was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he died.

The identity of the 42-year-old victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
