New smoking rules go into effect today in Galveston
GALVESTON, TX
The city council voted last month to relax the previous ordinance that took effect in January. The new rules allow smokers to light up in bars considered adult venues, private clubs and outdoor seating areas. The distance smokers need to keep from non-smoking establishments has been lowered to five feet.
