Man accused of choking girlfriend, holding her at knifepoint

HOUSTON Jamarques O'Neal McGregor is wanted on a charge of aggravated assault of a family member and a misdemeanor warrant that stems from another alleged assault on his girlfriend in May, according to a Crime Stoppers statement.

Detectives say McGregor got physical during an argument with his girlfriend in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 9900 block of West Montgomery on August 25. He allegedly first choked his girlfriend then held a knife to her throat, making a small cut on her neck.

McGregor also is accused of slashing his girlfriend's tires with the knife and kicking out one of her car windows.

He is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs around 140 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair with a dark complexion.
