The Galveston Municipal Police Association held an emergency meeting Wednesday evening to determine how they will ensure public safety. The association looked at possibly launching a public information campaign about the potential effects of a plan to cut 36 officers. The group also discussed possible votes of no confidence on Chief Charles Wiley and City Manager Steve Leblanc.

Chief Wiley emailed officers stating swift and certain discipline would follow any public information campaign.
