Former Astro Backe files suit against Galveston, police

HOUSTON Backe and several other wedding guests filed suit against the City of Galveston, Galveston Police Chief Charles Wiley and more than 20 officers. The suit claims the officers violated the plaintiff's civil rights and used excessive force.

The Galveston Police Department disciplined some of the officers involved for improper documentation.
