Pedestrian killed while trying to cross FM 1960

HOUSTON It happened on FM 1960 near Jones Road late last night. Deputies say the man was walking across the street when he was hit by a Ford Mustang and then another car came along and hit the victim.

"It appears though that after he was struck by the Mustang and was lying on the pavement, a second vehicle struck him," said Sgt. S. Wolverton with the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies believe the victim lived at some nearby apartments and was crossing the road to get to a bar.
