Third suspect in bank robbery still on the run

HOUSTON Jay Scott Garrison is wanted on charges of aggravated assault on a public servant and aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon, according to a Crime Stoppers statement.

Officials say Garrison is one of three gun-wielding suspects who entered a bank in the 16500 block of Stuebner Airline and tried to rob it on September 14.

However, a uniformed sheriff's deputy at the scene exchanged gunfire the suspects so they fled the scene. The deputy was injured during the shootout and was transported to a hospital.

The two other suspects in the bank robbery already have been arrested and charged.

Officials say citizens who encounter Garrison shouldn't try to detain him. Instead, they're asking anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to contact Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477.
