Shoplifter takes pricey computer from Katy store

KATY, TX The man entered the store on Sunday afternoon, grabbed a shopping basket and immediately headed for the electronics department, where he grabbed a computer valued at more than $800 and put it in his basket, according to a Crime Stoppers statement. He walked toward the garden center and walked out of the store through the fire exit, setting off the alarm.

The shoplifter put the computer in a light brown Buick waiting for him at the exit, got into the passenger seat and the car took off. The Buick had a Texas license plate # SVN-969.

A surveillance camera captured photos of the suspect and the alleged getaway car. Anyone with information regarding the car or the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477.
