Thieves target employees' purses

RICHMOND, TX The first theft occurred on August 17 at a business located in the 300 block of Morton Street in Richmond. Police say the suspects entered the business and one suspect distracted the employee while the other took the employee's purse from behind the counter. In this case the suspects used the victim's credit cards at a Walgreen's and a Chevron gas station.

The second case involved the same suspects entering a business located in Sugar Land on August 21, where the suspects again stole the employee's purse and used her credit cards. This time the suspects went to the Walgreen's in Richmond and in Rosenberg as well as a Shell gas station.

Detectives retrieved video images of the suspects in a Walgreen's store and are asking for help in identifying the women in the pictures. If anyone recognizes either of the suspects, they are asked to contact the Richmond Police Department at 281-342-2849. The suspects are also involved in cases out of Sugar Land Police Department and Rosenberg Police Department.

Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5000 for information leading to the arrest and filing of charges on the suspect(s). All calls to Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers will remain anonymous.
