The victim is an African-American male in his 30-40s. His identity hasn't been released. He died at the scene.
The driver fled the scene, but was later found by police.
Police investigate fatal hit-and-run accident
HOUSTON
It happened after 11am on Van Zandt at Homestead. Police say two men in an old moving box truck were driving down the road when they got into an argument. The driver stopped and the passenger got out, walked around to the driver's side and opened the door. The driver reportedly then hit the gas, and the passenger held on as long as he could before he lost his grip, fell and was struck by the vehicle.
