During the holdup, one of the robbers tripped, fell to the ground and accidentally shot his gun. The bullet hit one of his accomplices in the stomach. He's in serious condition. The two other robbers got away.

It happened around midnight at a business on Thompson near Baytown. Deputies say three men were trying to rob a group of men playing cards.
