Man shot in the face during robbery attempt

HOUSTON It happened just after six this morning on Hartsook. Police say the victim had stepped out of his apartment to go to work, when he was approached by the suspect. The suspect pulled out a gun and demanded the victim's money.

Officers say it appears the victim, who's Hispanic, didn't understand the suspect, who fired one shot.

The victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive. The shooter is on the run.
