Man shot after argument on basketball court

HOUSTON Authorities say it began at the basketball courts where up to 50 people were playing hoops last night and somehow the game ended in violence.

The shooting happened just before 9pm Thursday. A 911 call told Harris County deputies there were shots fired at Gene Green Park off the East Sam Houston Parkway at Green Lane. When deputies arrived, they found an 18-year-old man shot in the chest. LifeFlight was called, and authorities say the man will survive.

The shooting took place after a fight that happened earlier around 7:30pm. After the fight, authorities say at least one man came back an hour later with a gun and opened fire.

Authorities don't believe the victim was the target of the shooter. The victim, say authorities, was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

No arrests have been made, but police have identified at least four suspects.
