Crime rate dropping slightly in Friendswood

New numbers when it comes to crime in Friendswood, and it looks like the crime rate is dropping slightly.

Chief Robert Wieners says under tactics put into play two years ago, officers are filing more reports from out in the field.

He says the response time to 911 calls has been cut by 19 seconds compared to last year.

Police calls are also down about a thousand from year-to-year. Property crimes are also down.
