More than 1,000 animals rescued after an anonymous tip led investigators to a home in Crosby will soon be in the care of the Houston SPCA. The SPCA says many of the animals were held in cramped cages with feces built up inside.

All of the animals have been staying at the SPCA, but today a judge is expected to grant full custody to the organization.
