Suspect sought in armed bank robbery

ALVIN, TX The suspect rode up on Monday afternoon to the front entrance of a bank in the 2400 block of South Gordon Street and walked inside, according to an Alvin Police Department statement. The suspect approached a teller, displayed a silver semi-automatic handgun and demanded money.

The suspect then fled the bank on a mountain bike. He is described as a Hispanic male between the ages of 18 and 25, weighs around 165 pounds and is between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall. He has short dark hair and brown eyes and sideburns to the bottom of his ears with a small patch of hair on his chin.

The suspect was wearing a dark-colored ball cap, green colored pullover shirt over a white T-shirt, a dark blue or black hooded jacket, tan pants, brown gloves, tan-colored pants, white tennis shoes, glasses, and a small, dark-colored backpack.

No scars, marks, or tattoos visible or noted by witnesses.
